Write Touch Productions is seeking a proactive, community-focused Business Development Associate to expand our youth programming footprint. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for local libraries, identifying opportunities to implement our specialized workshops for children and teens.
Your mission is to bridge the gap between our creative programs and the educational needs of local communities by targeting three distinct age brackets: Elementary (8-10), Middle School (11-13), and High School (14-16).
Core Responsibilities
- Library Outreach & Inquiry: Systematically contact local library branches to inquire about their seasonal programming needs and artist-in-residence opportunities.
- Segmented Lead Generation: Develop and maintain a database of library youth coordinators, tailoring outreach specified to:
- Group A (Ages 8-10): Focusing on foundational creativity and interactive storytelling.
- Group B (Ages 11-13): Focusing on skill-building and collaborative projects.
- Group C (Ages 14-16): Focusing on advanced production, portfolio building, and career exploration.
- Relationship Management: Act as a representative of Write Touch Productions, nurturing long-term partnerships with library systems to ensure recurring seasonal bookings.
- Pitching & Proposals: Present program curriculums to library boards or youth departments, highlighting how our workshops meet their specific community engagement goals.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Business, Communications, Education, or outreach highly preferred.
- Communication: Strong persuasive writing and/or verbal skills, with the ability to adjust tone when speaking to stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools or advanced spreadsheets to track inquiries across multiple age and locations.
- Knowledge: A genuine interest in youth development and the role of public libraries in community education.
